Before the age of thirty, I had a very unhealthy lifestyle. At that point I had already lost a few relatives to cancer, and heart and vascular disease. I suddenly realized that I wasn’t going to grow old with this lifestyle. I decided to make a drastic change and started practicing kickboxing. Not long after that I discovered CrossFit. After the try out I realized that this was the way to get in shape. What I found very appealing is the combination of lifting weights, gymnastics and cardio. And perhaps, what appealed even more, was the cohesiveness within the community.

In 2015 after an internship at Vondelgym, I became a CrossFit coach. It was here where I really developed myself as a trainer. Besides the numerous educations that I completed, I gathered a ton of information from other fitness professionals at Vondelgym. This has really helped my development in becoming a better trainer. In 2019 I completed the MILO education Personal Trainer course. Two years after graduating I was asked to join the team as one of the MILO mentors. I truly enjoy that I was able to turn my passion into my daily job. I love helping people to move better and living a healthier lifestyle. It’s never too late. You are able to change yourself.
